(Quoy and Gaimard, 1833)
P. spinosus is a dull grey and red sea cucumber. It is a small (50-80 mm) and stocky species, with series of lateral papillae. Spicules are nodular buttons and baskets. P. spinosus has been recorded from New South Wales and China.
