Genus Plesiocolochirus

The genus Plesiocolochirus contains small to medium-sized sea cucumbers in which the tube feet are not confined to the ambulacra (at least below) and the body is crowded with spicules (Plesiocolochirus challengeri[/l]).

Remarks: A further small [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Species[/r]species, P. gazelle, is brilliant red and was taken in 2-6m of water in North Western Australia by the 'Gazelle' expedition.
