Genus Staurothyone
The genus Staurothyone contains small sea cucumbers with ten equal tentacles. Spicules are sparse, but scattered all over the body; they are stout cruciform plates and tiny rosettes (Staurothyone distincta[/l]).
Remarks: A further [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Species[/r]species, probably rosacea, was found off northwestern Australia by the 'Gazelle' expedition (see Clark, 1938).
