E. godeffroyi is a sea cucumber that is mottled cream-white with grey, with green or brown longitudinal stripes. It is a medium to large species (to 400 mm in length), with 15 tentacles, each with numerous pairs of digits. Its spicules are anchors with tiny knobs on the vertex and plates with large posterior holes (E. godeffroyi spicules[/l]). E. godeffroyi is found on [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Reef[/r]reefs, concealed among rubble of reef flat or slope.
