H. semperi is a variably coloured white-brown and red sea cucumber with purple tentacles and tube feet (the latter confined to the ambulacra). It is a small species (45-50 mm) with a pliable body. Spicules are fenestrated ellipsoids and perforated plates (H. semperi spicules[/l]). H. semperi is a [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Coast[/r]coastal, tropical species, found in the intertidal and below.
