L. grisea is a grey (above) and white (below) sea cucumber. It is a small (to 75 mm), elongate species with a thin, pentagonal, body which is rigid and curved into a "U-shape", with mouth and cloaca turned up. Spicules are smooth, nodular buttons, baskets and lenticular plates. L. grisea live a sedentary life in "U-shaped" burrows.
