A. delicata is a pale grey, small sea cucumber (< 52 mm) with yellow-brown tentacles. The body wall is thin and delicate. Spicules are widely scattered, delicate perforated plates (A. delicata spicules[/l]). The larger ones have holes with dentate margins. A. delicata has been reported from sandy mud in Western [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Australia[/r]Australia.
