H. (Acanthotrapeza) coluber is a black sea cucumber with white papillae and 20 yellow tentacles. It is a long (500-600 mm) species with a firm, thick body wall, and a tough tegument. H. coluber is found on [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Reef[/r]reefs, usually with its posterior wedged below rocks on reef flats.
