Holothuria michaelseni

H. (Theelothuria) michaelseni is a black sea cucumber with five white longitudinal stripes and 20 white tentacles. It is a small to medium-sized species (adults - 100-125 mm), hemicylindrical, with a thin body wall. Spicules are irregularly perforated plates, and rods, and knobbed buttons sometimes reduced to granules (H. michaelseni spicules[/l]).
