T. papuensis is a small, brown-black, firm and cylindrical sea cucumber. Its spicules are rather open tables (T. papuensis spicules[/l]). It may be found on [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Reef[/r]reefs and in coastal areas, where it is buried in sand flats.
