Afrocucumis africana

(Semper, 1868)

A. africana is a black to purple, small (< 50 mm), cylindrical sea cucumber, tapering at the ends. It is covered with tube feet, the body is thin but firm, the tegument smooth, and it bears 20 tentacles. Spicules are large lenticular plates (A. africana spicules[/l]).
