C. schmeltzi is a light to dark brown, small (8-85 mm when preserved), short sea cucumber covered with tube feet. Spicules are short spiked rods (C. schmeltzi spicules[/l]). It is found in [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Reef[/r]reefs and coastal waters, below rocks and rubble.
