Paracaudina chiliensis

(Müller, 1928)

P. chiliensis is a white sea cucumber with a purple cast near posterior end. It is a small to medium-sized species (to 200 mm). Spicules are perforated plates (some cup-like). It is a coastal species, buried 10-20 cm below sandy mud.

Remarks: P. australis is known from both tropical and temperate Australia. P. chiliensis is wide spread in the Pacific and according to Clark (1938) in Australia it is P. chiliensis ransonetti.
