P. verrilli is a small, white sea cucumber with scattered red spots. The spicules are anchors with short arms (P. verrilli spicules[/l]). This [l][m]Glossary[/m][r]Species[/r]species may be found on firm sand, in deeper water.
Remarks: A typographical error in Clark and Rowe (1971) assigns the record of verrilli to the Philippines.
